Unkit design
The LP-380U offers beautiful piano sound in a compact design. The clean lines and the flat lid provide a minimalist aesthetic that fits in very well with the Scandinavian style. There are powerful amplifiers despite the slim look, which provide a natural and rounded sound experience of an acoustic grand piano. The RH3 keys have long established themselves as some of the best and most lifelike weighted keys on the market, making even critical classical pianists feel at home.
Many authentic sounds
In the LP-380U, you will naturally find first and foremost acoustic grand piano sounds of very high quality. Both Classic Grand and Grand Piano sound consists of many dynamic layers, as well as resonance modeling, which reproduces the way the box and strings of an acoustic instrument vibrate, depending on which notes are played. But in the LP-380U you will also find very authentic electric piano sounds, organs, strings etc., a total of 30 different sounds. You can put two sounds together, or split the keyboard into two parts, and play with a specific sound in each part. You can also retune the instrument in different classical temperaments.
Effects
3 effect machines complete the soundscape; Brilliance changes the timbre of the piano sound from darker to brighter, while Reverb places the instrument in different spaces, from stage to concert hall. The chorus effect is particularly suitable for electric piano and string sounds. The 3 fixed pedals behave completely like an acoustic grand piano, with realistic semi-damper function on both damper pedals. You will also find a built-in metronome.
USB Audio
USB connection is now standard on most electronic instruments, but it is a rarity to find USB Audio in this instrument class. This feature means that you can not only control the instrument via MIDI when you connect a computer, but also transfer the sound from the LP-380U digitally, both ways, without having to connect anything other than a standard USB2 cable (or Lightning for iOS devices (USB/Lightning cable not included). But of course there is also a stereo line-out output on mini-jack, if you want to record on an external recorder, or want to connect the LP-380U to another speaker system, e.g. in the rehearsal room or on stage.
Great software package
As if all this wasn't enough, the LP-380U also comes with a comprehensive software package, so if you connect your LP-380U to your computer or iPad via USB, you can expand the functionality even further. You get a 3-month subscription to Skoove, which is an online course with piano lessons and KORG Module, which is an iOS app that gives you a professional sound library that you can play via your LP-380U. You also get KORG Gadget Le, which is a great app for iOS with drum machines, synthesizers and effects for modern electronic music production.
