PRS McCarty 594 - McCarty Sunburst
- PRS' tribute to Ted McCarty - Gibson's innovative director from 1950-66. With 24.594" scale length. McCarty Sunburst.

This classic design is inspired by one of the pioneers of guitar history, Ted McCarty, who during his time as director of Gibson in the 50s and 60s gave us the ES-335, the Tune-o-matic bridge system, the humbucker, the Flying V and much, much more. Paul Reed Smith sought out Ted in his time, who ended up becoming a kind of mentor to Paul and passed on his knowledge and way of thinking. The PRS McCarty 594 gets its nickname from the neck's scale length, which measures 24.594".
The two 58/15 LT pickups are designed by PRS to deliver a warm, rounded tone with a nice and clean treble. You can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil (push-pull in the volume knobs), which makes the guitar incredibly versatile. The two-piece zinc bridge and the locking PRS Phase III tuning machines in a vintage look give the guitar a clear line to its models, while the now classic PRS body shape and the mother-of-pearl bird inlays in the neck contribute to a modern, refined expression. The PRS McCarty combines timeless guitar virtues with modern design and details in the finest way.
