This classic design is inspired by one of the pioneers of guitar history, Ted McCarty, who in his time as director of Gibson in the 50s and 60s, among other things. gave us the ES-335, the Tune-o-matic bridge system, the humbucker, the Flying V and much, much more. In his time, Paul Reed Smith sought out Ted, who ended up becoming a kind of mentor for Paul and passed on his knowledge and way of thinking.
Versatility itself
The two 58/15 LT pickups have been designed by PRS to deliver a warm, rounded sound with a fine and clean treble. You can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil (push-pull in the volume buttons), which makes the guitar incredibly versatile. The two-part zinc bridge and the lockable vintage-look PRS Phase III tuning screws give the guitar a clear line to its role models, while the now classic PRS body shape and mother-of-pearl fulge inlays in the neck contribute a modern, refined expression. PRS McCarty perfectly combines timeless guitar virtues with modern design and details.
