The new Mapex Nodal Line Air Flow Venting Scheme gives the Saturn drums superior rebound and just the right resonance. Whether they're tuned up to tight jazz or fusion, or down to hard rock, unique details like the SONIClear™ edges ensure that the drums always sound bigger than you'd think.

The combination of maple and walnut in the kettles produces a fast attack and a rich tone that reaches right down to the back rows of the hall, while the drums feel equally at home in the studio. That's the classic Saturn sound.

The fixed floor tom legs with the characteristic 90-degree bend help to preserve the vibrations from the boilers, at the same time that the Sonic pedestal rubber feet decouple from the substrate. Toms and kick drums have different combinations of ventilation holes, which are strategically placed to optimize resonance and plug response.
