The Armory Series is the latest take on Mapex's hybrid boiler concept. The combination of birch wood and maple delivers a very balanced tonal expression. The SONIClear™ edges allow the drumhead to sit extra tight, thus promoting response by optimizing the relationship between drumhead and kettle. The 6-ply 7.2mm birch/maple/birch shells with the new SONIClear™ edge provide a more direct transfer of vibrations, reduce unwanted frequencies and provide a strong fundamental tone that is easy to tune, especially when it needs to be low . The kit includes a 10" and 12" rack tom, 14" and 16" floor toms, 14" snare drum, and a 22"x18" bass drum. The SONIClear™ tom mount improves resonance by keeping vibrations in the drum longer.
