Hybrid drum machine with 3 engines - analog, digital/sample and Multi (customizable synth). A paradigm shift within drum machines
Drumlogue marks a paradigm shift in drum machines. With the raw power and rich sound of analog, the flexibility you can only get with digital voices, and Drumlogue's open source SDK for custom synth designs, Drumlogue is all its own. The advanced dynamic sequencer, effects machines and intuitive user interface make Drumlogue a must-have in any genre and style.
Drumlogue is designed to give the ultimate analog sound to your beats, which it delivers with bravura. The all-new analog circuits were developed by legendary KORG engineer Junichi Ikeuchi (ARP 2600 M, MS-20 mini, ARP Odyssey, etc.) so your beats are in the very best hands. The new analog circuits (Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Low Tom and High Tom) not only provide a unique foundation for your tracks, but make them stand out with great overtone richness and a big phat bottom. The main controls for each of the sounds have dedicated buttons on the front panel that can be adjusted at any time without the need to dive into menus, so you can quickly and intuitively adjust your sound. Each audio part has quite a few parameters available through the powerful audio editing system. Last but not least, each Drumlogue Part - analog or digital - has a dedicated volume knob, making your mixing process smooth and easy.
Drumlogue has, in addition to the 4 analogue, 7 digital Parts: 6 sample-based and 1 synthesis-based (Multi-Engine). Each sample-based Part can play one of the built-in PCM sounds. You can also import your own User Samples, making Drumlogue a very versatile machine with virtually unlimited sound possibilities. The 128 preset drum kits in Drumlogue offer a wide selection of beats spanning many genres, so you can easily start with plenty of inspiration. To get more sounds, you can easily load samples into Drumlogue by connecting it to your computer via USB and simply drag your samples into the main memory.
The popular Multi Engine from Prologue and Minilogue xd can now also be found in Drumlogue. In addition to the Variable Phase Modulation (VPM) and Noise generator, the Multi Engine has a new custom slot that provides sound possibilities never before heard on a drum machine.
Drumlogue's synth voices are not just static waveforms. The custom synths can do much more than just generate sound. They can implement filter designs, LFOs and MIDI-controlled polyphony. The only limitation is your creativity (and your CPU usage), giving you close to unlimited opportunities to explore new sounds.
KORG has collaborated with Sinevibes and included the brand new synth plugin "Nano" selectable in the Multi Engine on Drumlogue. This exclusive plugin explores the power of the extended Multi Engine and gives Drumlogue users a taste of the possibilities of this new platform. "Nano" is a full-blooded virtual analog synth with a wide range of functions and lots of customizable parameters. The synth engine has dual oscillators with optional ring modulation, a 4-pole multi-mode filter with soft clipping distortion, built-in EG and multi-curve shape LFO. Leads, basses, percussive sounds or cinematic effects. It is up to you how you want to utilize the fantastic sound potential.
The coolest sounds don't come to life without a sequencer. Drumlogue is equipped with an extremely powerful one of a kind that is not only flexible but also easy to use. Tired of the same old beats? Drumlogue's 64-step sequencer makes it easy and intuitive to create complex rhythm patterns and polyrhythms, elevating the creation process with innovative features such as probability per step, alternative trigger patterns per step, micro-offsets per step, groove patterns per tracks and much more. Thanks to the OLED display, it's easy to follow and edit your beats visually. Drumlogue is both suitable for the studio and for live use. But with Chain-Mode it is easy and clear to create long and interesting patterns. In Loop-Mode you can switch between several variations to play your sequence in new and interesting ways. The Motion and Accent recording functions are intuitive and fast, and if you want to try new things, you can use the Randomise function. These and many more features make Drumlogue a special instrument that is much more than a drum machine.
Drumlogue has many high-quality effects across three categories that can be used simultaneously: Delay, Reverb and Master. For each Part, you can set how much you want to send to the Delay and Reverb effects, and there are multiple return points available. With the Master effects, you can both refine your sound and "collect" all Parts. In addition, the Master effects can be bypassed per Part, which makes it possible to send all the effects to specific Parts. There is also a side-chain bus available which you can address via the Master effect. In addition to the built-in Delay, Reverb and Master effects, Drumlogue can also load custom third-party effects. Each effect has up to 24 parameters, all of which are easily accessible in the menu. Drumlogue has audio input, so you can send other instruments through Drumlogue's effects chain, which in turn expands the creative possibilities.
Drumlogue has a variety of inputs, outputs and connections, so you can integrate it into your setup in the way that suits you. Drumlogue's USB A port allows you to connect to other USB-MIDI-Class Compliant devices such as KORG nanoKONTROL2 or nanoPADS2. In this way, you can extend the real-time control with both parameters, sequences and live games. The Drumlogue has four individual audio outputs in addition to the headphone and L/MONO and R outputs. You can assign all Parts to any output and thus allow for external processing or multitrack recording. Drumlogue can be easily synchronized with other equipment via MIDI IN/OUT, SYNC IN/OUT or with a computer-based DAW via USB.
Drumlogue is not only powerful, but also extremely easy to use. Designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind, the most important parameters for your most important Parts all have dedicated buttons on the front panel that can be adjusted directly, as well as dedicated volume knobs for each part that facilitate the mixing process. The OLED display combined with the simple user interface with 4 dedicated encoder buttons makes the navigation process fast and smooth.
Unlike most drum machines, drumlogue's front panel is slanted, which provides good ergonomics and improved visibility. With its robust aluminum body and wooden side panels, the Drumlogue appears inviting and demanding of your musical inspiration.
