Zildjian 18" K Paper Thin Crash
- 18" "paper-thin" crash cymbal.
- Light, effervescent crash sound with short decay and controlled dynamics.

The new K Paper Thin Crashes are a classic example of Zildjian's greatest strength; they pay homage to the most defining moments in the company's 400-year history, while honoring the leadership in cymbal innovation and rewarding the trust placed in them by drummers everywhere.
The concept itself is nothing new. Zildjian began offering paper-thin cymbals as early as the 1950s. After an exhaustive review of the last 70 years of range and resizing, this new series is the result of a clear pattern: Many modern drummers want the thin cymbals back! Thanks to Zildjian's tireless R&D team, this new range joins the iconic K family with 18", 19", 20", 21" and 22" versions that blend the popular paper-thin qualities with the characteristics unique to larger cymbal sizes.
The cymbals are as strong as they are light, combining an explosively dark crash sound with a fast decay and a buttery feel in the stick. One of the reasons for these characteristics is a revised three-stage hammering process, which increases the flexibility of the alloy and creates sonic nuances that contribute to the unique signature. The very thin profiles create extra shimmer when you strike, giving a low resonance not found anywhere else in the K family.
