The Thornton PM900 is a great solution for small and medium-sized sound tasks. You get a powerful amplifier that can deliver up to 450 Watt stereo to your speakers and all the inputs, outputs and functions that you need to pass on sound for parties, lectures or performances. The Powermixer is delivered in a solid transport case, which provides optimal protection, both during transport and during operation, and which makes setting up and taking down a system easier and faster.
The PM900 has 6 channels with real XLR microphone inputs on all channels. You can control the sound individually on each channel with hi, low and effect tone controls, and you can pan each channel between the right and left speakers for true stereo sound. Each channel also has an override fuse, which lights up when the signal is distorted, and phantom power, which you need to be able to connect condenser microphones. You can adjust the overall sound image via the power mixer's 2 x 7-band equalizer and the built-in effects processor, which you can use to add effects, such as reverb and echo, to the individual channels. If you have another effect you'd like to use, you can plug it into the PM9000 mixer's effect loop, and there's also a rec output that can be used to connect the PM900 to a sound recorder.
A built-in MP3 player makes it possible to play music from a USB key directly on the PM900, without it costing you a channel or having to connect an external music player.
A good power mixer does not necessarily have to be expensive or complicated. We know Thornton from their excellent and affordable speakers, amplifiers and mixers, but their power mixers deliver just as high quality and an impressive price-quality ratio as the rest of Thornton's range.
