The Custom 24 is the epitome of a Paul Reed Smith guitar. It was the first model that Paul brought in the trunk to the NAMM Show in 1985, and it has been one of the company's absolute bestsellers ever since. The SE models are PRS's bid for a price-conscious version, where as much as possible of the magic from the more expensive series is preserved. The SE models are produced at PRS's own factory in Indonesia under the same strict quality requirements as at home in Maryland. "08" refers to the two mini-switches, which together give a total of 8 pick-up combinations.
