DENON DJ has taken all their know-how and experience from the larger SC products and crammed almost everything into the SC LIVE series. With innovative solutions and top-notch mechanical quality, being a DJ has now become even more inspiring.
Built-in speakers
Let's just address the elephant in the room right away; it's controversial to have built-in speakers in a product of this type. But DENON DJ doesn't do anything by halves, and as always, they've thought it through. When practicing and setting up your sets, it's super convenient not to have to connect an external system, while also not having to have your headphones on all the time. It requires creativity and playfulness, and that has always been one of DENON DJ's strengths. The speakers aren't made to play loud or replace a booth monitor - they're meant to be a tool to help you improve your skills.
Amazon Music
The DENON DJ SC LIVE series is the first on the market to integrate directly with Amazon Music. but you also have access to all the other streaming services such as Spotify and TIDAL, and there is also a link to DropBox and other archive services in the cloud. DENON DJ's lightning-fast tempo and pitch scanning algorithms mean you can perform in real-time with completely new material if the task calls for it.
Engine DJ OS
At the heart of all DENON DJ SC products is the Engine DJ software, which is constantly being improved and developed. This also means that you can take your sets from one SC product to another with a minimum of adjustments. The combination of hardware controls and the touch screen makes Engine DJ a breeze to navigate, even when you need to go extra fast. And the best part is that the software runs on the internal processor in all SC products, so there's no need to connect a computer. But of course you can.
Serato DJ and Virtual DJ
If you're coming from other systems to the SC series, you can pick up where you left off. There's support for both Serato DJ and Virtual DJ, so you just need to connect your computer and tell the controller which system you're using.
Built for creative mixing
In addition to access to several streaming services, SC LIVE also has 3 Media Slots (including 2x USB ports), so mix'n'match from different media, both physical and over network, is possible at the same time. The layout is largely lifted from the big brother SC6000 and the mixer functions are similar to those we find on the X1850 mixer to the point of confusion. This means that SC LIVE is very close to delivering the same creative possibilities that you would otherwise only find on flagship products. This includes, among other things, 4 multifunctional pads per deck with 2 banks (so there are 8 in total), 4 Sweep effects with dedicated activation button per channel and 13 different programmable BPM effects.
SC LIVE 4
With its 4 channels, it is of course double the capacity compared to its little brother. SC LIVE 2 . This means you can be even more creative by having samples, acapellas, alternative versions, or other things ready in the wings, or make mash-ups and beat mixes with extra dimensions. There is full mixer control on all channels, including 3-band EQ, Sweep FX and Beat FX. SC LIVE 4 also has an extra microphone input, which can also act as a stereo AUX, so you can connect an extra external sound source to it. SC LIVE 2 .
Dynamic light control
Engine DJ fully integrates with Engine Lighting, allowing you to control lighting sources like Philips Hue, Nanoleaf, and DMX. This allows you to design complete shows where sound and light merge into one. All without having to read thick manuals or take extra courses in lighting technology.
