First class sound quality
With best-in-class 32-bit AD/DA and 32-bit floating-point processing, the RC-500 will convey your sound in the best quality and ensure that loops are crystal clear, even with multiple layers. And with 13 hours of stereo recording, there is plenty of space for the really big creative journeys.
Connect, Loop and Mix
With its versatile I/O and a free-flowing interface, the RC-500 is ready to support your musical ideas. Connect mono/stereo instruments for pedal effects as well as a microphone to the dedicated XLR input - complete with phantom power if required. Use the two tracks independently for a song-style composition or at the same time for rich multitrack textures. The backlit LCD changes color to clearly display the current mode, while hands-on track faders and a mic-level knob provide direct access to volume control while looping.
Flexible Creative Control
Three built-in footswitches make it easy to control recording and playback, track switching and more. For extended operation, you can connect up to two external footswitches for direct control of many functions, or an expression pedal for settings while the music is playing. And advanced systems will love TRS MIDI I/O, which saves space and enables remote operation from MIDI switchers and foot controllers, as well as MIDI sync with drum machines and DAW.
Customize your setup
The RC-500's I/O and footswitches are configured for normal operation but can be re-assigned in various ways to suit your needs. Route left/right input sources to separate tracks or send guitar and vocals to independent outputs. Use footswitches to turn effects on/off, start/stop rhythms and more. Custom assignments are saved together with phrase memories so you can quickly reconfigure the RC-500.
Bring your performances to life with Rhythms and Loop FX
Packed with inspiring rhythms and atmospheric loop processing, the RC-500 adds groove and color to all your looping adventures. Each of the 57 preset rhythms includes A/B variations and the 16 drum kits give you sounds to match any style. Loop FX is designed for live performance, and for example repeat, scatter and others fill your loops with new sonic energy. There's also a cool 'reverse' function which is perfect for creating deliberately unique sounds.
Capture, Practice, and Perform
The RC-500's 99 phrase memories let you store loops as fast as you can make them, complete with rhythm and kit selections, audio settings and control assignments. Loop audio can also be saved on a computer via USB. And with WAV import via BOSS Tone Studio, the RC-500 becomes a central playback hub for practice material, jam tracks or backing for your next concert.
