2-voice paraphonic analog synth classic you build yourself!

2-voice paraphonic analog synth classic you build yourself!
In 2015, KORG was able to present a super-accurate 80% size replica of the original ARP Odyssey to excited synth fans worldwide. Since then, a FS (Full Scale) model was also added, and you have to look very carefully not to confuse it with the original. Now KORG is launching a build-it-yourself version so that enthusiasts can get even closer to the magic. Don't worry, you don't need a big driver's license to solder - if you can use a screwdriver and follow a user manual, you can assemble your very own, fully analog KORG ARP Odyssey in an hour or two!
the cabinet, buttons and faders are of the very highest quality, as is the keyboard, which has 37 quality keys (true to the original without touch sensitivity). In other words, you get access to legendary synth history without having to try your luck on an increasingly expensive used market, while at the same time you get the feeling of constructing your very own synthesizer.
The original ARP Odyssey had a duophonic design with 2 oscillators. Characteristic was especially the sharp, penetrating sound, with heaps of character and aggressiveness. The ability to trigger both oscillators simultaneously, or duophonically, meant that the sonic options were far more versatile than other designs of the time. Cross-modulation and all kinds of real-time intermodulation between the oscillators made this synth the classic we've all come to admire. KORG has recreated this circuit down to the component level, so this is a true, full-blooded Odyssey, just without all the problems that come with 50-year-old machines.
An Odyssey is not just an Odyssey. During its lifetime, it went through several iterations, which, among other things, meant 3 different filter chips. It is very difficult to choose which is the "right" or best sounding one, because all three are very different, especially the resonance response. KORG has implemented all three original filter chips, and made it possible to choose between them via a switch in the filter section. That way, su can always recreate any ARP Odyssey sound, regardless of which generation your favorite sounds come from.
Filter Type I (Rev 1) is a 12 dB/oct. circuit with a sharp, punchy sound. Type II (Rev2) is a 24 dB/oct. filter with massive bass reproduction, while Type III (Rev 3) is also 24dB but has a more controlled resonance. All 3 filter types are accurately reproduced entirely in the analog domain.
