The Yamaha Reface CP from Yamaha uses something as exciting as spectral component modeling to recreate classic electric piano sounds and place these in a single, scaled-down sized keyboard layout. The Yamaha Reface is based on Yamaha's famous CP80 as well as other iconic electric pianos. With 128 notes of polyphony and 6 different piano models, the Reface CP is able to recreate a variety of vintage electric pianos in a detailed and authentic way.

The CP's front panel features dedicated buttons and sliders to control all of the Reface's functions. In the type section, you can choose between the 6 electric piano sounds Rhodes I, Rhodes II, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, Toy and CP80 with associated drive control. The 6 electric piano sounds can be supplied with various effects such as tremolo or wah, chorus or phaser and analog or digital delay. In addition, you get a dedicated reverb effect. In addition, the Yamaha Reface CP has built-in stereo speakers, a volume control and an octave slider.

The 37-key mini-keyboard incorporates the same technology as Yamaha's flagship Motif XF, providing a first-class playing experience and fast response. The Reface CP can run on 6 AA batteries and it is possible to connect a sustain pedal. In addition, you get two unbalanced jack outputs, a stereo jack headphone output, a stereo minijack input and a MIDI DIN connection that provides MIDI in and out. Built-in USB allows connection to a computer or iOS device, so even though the Reface CP has no memory, via an iOS app you can store settings corresponding to MIDI CC controller data.
