- Dynamic podcast microphone with built-in +30 dB in-line boost and 6 EQ settings.
Description
The new boy in class
Whether you're a podcaster, live streamer, gamer, journalist, or just need a reliable and versatile vocal or speech microphone, you'll hardly find a more worthy candidate than the DCM8.
Built-in DYNAMITE preamp
With the push of a button you can activate the DYNAMITE circuit (via Phantom Power), which is the same one found in sE's in-line gain D-series boosters. This means a completely clean, noise-free 30 dB of gain, so no matter which preamp you use, the DCM8 will always deliver clear sound with extremely good signal-to-noise ratio.
Acoustic Trim with 6 different EQ settings
Is there a lack of bottom? Should the top be a little finer, or less sharp? Is there a lack of "body"? The DCM8 is equipped with 2 trim buttons that in combination can produce 6 different equalizer curves, so you can always get the best out of the source.
3-layer pop filter and integrated suspension
The DCM8 has built-in pop filters, which consist of 3 unique layers. This is not a simple foam filter. With experience gained from the Refexion filters, sE opportunität has implemented a much more linear and less coloring filter than we otherwise find in dynamic microphones. The result is a more natural sound, while closing sounds (plosives) are significantly reduced. The integrated suspension ensures that mechanical vibrations are kept out of the microphone.
Aluminum capsule with cardioid characteristic
The capsule in the DCM8 is based on the one found in the highly acclaimed V-series, which, with a combination of an aluminum diaphragm and neodymium magnets, achieves a clear, rich and precise reproduction of voices in particular.
Built like a tank
The housing is made of metal - no cheap plastic here - and the microphone can be adjusted freely via the built-in joint. There are gold-plated pins in the XLR connector, and the housing is 100% shielded from external mode interference. In short, you can count on many years of trouble-free performance with the DCM8.
