SuperNATURAL magic.
The RD-88 EX is packed with rich, characterful pianos powered by our acclaimed SuperNATURAL technology. More expressive grands are at your fingertips, including the newly developed SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 Expansion. There are also Classic EPs with stunningly accurate reproductions of vintage icons from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
The versatility of ZEN-Core.
The RD-88 EX also includes over 3,000 non-piano sounds, so you can handle any type of gig with just one keyboard. Take advantage of organs, synthesizers, strings, brass, world sounds, and more from the historic Roland library, powered by the same ZEN-Core engine found in our flagship synthesizers.
Smooth workflow.
The efficient RD panel layout lets you quickly call up sound categories, save setups in Scenes, and jump to your primary piano part with a single touch. Multi-function controls provide convenient access to volume levels and many other parameters. There's also a wide range of effects ready to enhance sounds with everything from basic studio color to intense over-the-top processing.

The RD-88 EX has three zones for creating layers and splits with internal or external sounds - or both. With the built-in USB audio/MIDI interface and dedicated control profile for Apple MainStage, it's easy to blend virtual instruments and studio tracks into your stage performances.
