For more than 115 years, GUITARRAS MANUEL RODRÍGUEZ has been making instruments in the tradition of the Madrid School of Spanish guitar making.
Full Description
The Manuel Rodríguez ECOLOGÍA series harkens back to the traditions of European guitar-making by the great-grandfathers.
Back then, only tone wood was used that grew on the doorstep and was available. Only much later did international trade, including tropical forests, displace local forests that had been tested for decades.
In essence, the series is based on these old traditions and is thus ecologically updated. Not a single piece of tropical wood is used. European woods such as spruce, walnut, maple and acacia are used instead. Furthermore, only water-based eco-matt varnish is used. This overall ecologically sustainable design clearly sets the ECOLOGÍA series apart from other guitars.
Sonically, the instruments, which are handmade in Europe, are moderately tuned and designed for a balanced sound. This is ensured, among other things, by the traditional neck construction with dovetail joints, which guarantees not only high stability, but also very good vibration transmission.
A special feature of all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars is the GEWA armrest, which offers two clear advantages: with its rounded shape, it ensures a particularly comfortable playing feeling and allows the top to vibrate freely over the entire surface, as it prevents damping by the placement of the right arm on top.
More sound, more comfort.
German-made Hannabach 815HTC strings are wound at the factory and round off the sound concept of this series perfectly.
The family business was founded in Madrid in 1905, making it the second oldest guitar manufacturer south of the Pyrenees. Today's Luthier Manuel Rodríguez III grew up in California and Spain and is already the third generation practicing his craft. The cosmopolitan lifestyle that characterizes Manuel is reflected in each and every instrument. Their unique grace and unmistakable sound is the result of the skilful combination of the tradition and modernity of craftsmanship, the history and future of music and the craftsmanship and experience of the builders.
"We live the development of our guitars with passion, through which we have increasingly succeeded from generation to generation in perfecting a centuries-old manufacturing technique more and more." - Manuel Rodríguez III.
In collaboration with GEWA music, Manuel Rodriguez has now redesigned his guitar series from scratch and sets clear quality standards. Not least because of this, ECOLOGÍA, TRADICÍON, ACADEMIA, SUPERIOR and MAGISTRAL are produced in Europe under his personal supervision. SIGNATURE LEGACY unique even comes directly from Spain, where the master still runs his own workshop.
GUITARRAS MANUEL RODRÍGUEZ - Rich in sound, history and beauty since 1905.
