For more than 115 years, GUITARRAS MANUEL RODRÍGUEZ has been making instruments in the tradition of the Madrid School of Spanish guitar making.

The ACADEMIA is the first series in the Manuel Rodríguez series to feature the original Spanish heel, the royal class of guitar making.

With this special construction method, the neck extends in one piece into the body and is directly connected to the sides, back and top. This not only ensures enormous stability, but also optimal vibration transmission, faster response and longer sustain.

The four editions of the ACADEMIA series, all in 4/4 size, differ in the beautiful decorations and materials in the top and sides. Here you will see, hear and experience what you like better.

All ACADEMIA instruments are handcrafted in Europe and have additional features that are quite special in this moderate price range. These include the mahogany neck with Ovangkol fingerboard, nut and bridge inlays, hand-filed oiled vintage bone and the water-based eco high-gloss varnish.

A special feature of all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars is the GEWA armrest, which offers two decisive advantages: with its rounded shape, it ensures a particularly comfortable playing sensation and allows the top to vibrate freely over the entire surface, as it prevents damping by the right arm is located upstairs.

German-made Hannabach 815HTC strings are factory-wound and perfectly round out the tonal quality of this series.

The family business was founded in Madrid in 1905, making it the second oldest guitar manufacturer south of the Pyrenees. Today's Luthier Manuel Rodríguez III grew up in California and Spain and is already the third generation practicing his craft. In collaboration with GEWA music, Manuel Rodriguez has now redesigned his guitar series from scratch and sets clear quality standards. Not least because of this, ECOLOGÍA, TRADICÍON, ACADEMIA, SUPERIOR and MAGISTRAL are produced in Europe under his personal supervision. SIGNATURE LEGACY unique even comes directly from Spain, where the master still runs his own workshop.
