The RC-5 has the most advanced interface for a compact looper pedal. The LCD makes it possible to keep an eye on the loop status while you play, with a backlight that changes color when recording, overdubbing and playback are done. And along with the multi-function parameter knob, it's easy and quick to navigate rhythms, kits, system settings and more while the music is playing.

Deep Control

The RC-5's versatile pedal switch controls all looping functions - record, overdub, play, stop and undo/redo. But additional control is also supported if you need it. Connect up to two external footswitches for direct control of many functions or an expression pedal for settings while the music is playing. Players with advanced systems will love TRS MIDI I/O, which saves space and enables remote operation from MIDI switchers and foot controllers, as well as MIDI sync with drum machines and DAW.

Move and Groove, Forward and Back

With 57 preset rhythms and seven different drum kits, the RC-5 is ready to send off any loop and make practice far more interesting, with inspiring grooves for all styles. for each rhythm, A/B variations can be selected from the panel or controlled via MIDI while you play. The RC-5's looper engine also includes a cool reverse function that's cool if you need to mix it all up with some new sounds and timbres.

Capture, Practice, and Perform

The RC-5 provides 99 phrase memories and allows you to store loops as quickly as you can create them. In addition to audio, a phrase memory can also include selected rhythm kits, so they are ready when you need them. Loop audio can also be saved on a computer via USB. And with WAV import via BOSS Tone Studio, the RC-5 becomes a pedalboard playback hub for practice material, jam tracks or backing for your next concert.
