Enhanced Tube Logic Tones
Tube Logic recreates tube circuits and all their complex interactions at the component level, putting the coveted tone and feel of classic tube amps at your fingertips. Our approach continues to evolve with improvements to the five amp characters available in previous Katana models, including the iconic high-gain Brown type. The new Pushed character highlights internal dynamic enhancements with the pleasant touch-responsive gain of a clean combo driven to harmonic saturation. All six amp characters have selectable variation, giving you 12 distinct tones to support any musical style.

As any tube amp lover knows, the sound gets richer, fuller, and more responsive when you turn up the volume. Unfortunately, it also gets way too loud for many playing situations. An external power attenuator is a common solution, but it can introduce artifacts that color the tone and feel of the amp. The Katana Gen 3’s integrated Power Control delivers the best of all worlds, letting you get inspired by the high volume without negatively impacting the sound. Simply turn the panel knob to transparently control the level for everything from live playing to everyday jamming in the living room.

The Katana-100 Gen 3 has a wealth of powerful tools for modern performers. Eight Tone Setting memories let you save and recall complete amp/effects setups, while rear-panel jacks support remote control with footswitches and an expression pedal. The GA-FC and GA-FC EX Foot Controllers expand your capabilities even further, providing complete stage control solutions for your Katana Gen 3. Change tone settings, turn effects on/off, integrate multiple expression pedals, and more. The GA-FC EX model also includes an expansion option, allowing you to double your footswitches or control two Katana amps at once.

Easily connect two amps via the Stereo Expand* feature, with master control from the main amp and stereo effects like chorus, delay and reverb distributed across both amps for a wide, immersive sound. Or connect to the Power Amp In jack to bypass the Katana preamp and use the reactive Class AB effects section to power a modeler or external preamp.
