Authentic tube amp sound for the super guitarist
The newly launched Blues Cube series ushers the classic 1x12 combo amp into a new era by combining true tube sound and response with modern reliability and portability. Roland's Tube Logic design philosophy goes beyond just modeling. It starts by recreating the mechanics of the time-honored tweed-era tube amps, from guitar input to speaker output. Versatile clean and crunch channels can be used independently or combined for a full and complex tonal range, while variable output power modes give you a razor-sharp sound with full-throttle, at any volume. Tough, solid, and built for the live stage. Using feedback from top guitarists, the Blues Cube delivers the fat, magical tone and satisfying feel that make a guitar amp an expressive instrument in its own right.
Musical, super-responsive
amp sounds with Tube Logic
Warm, bouncy, responsive, dynamic, elastic...these are all terms guitarists use to describe the feeling of playing their favorite tube amp. Thanks to Roland's Tube Logic, these words can also be applied to the Blues Cube Artist. Tube Logic has drastically evolved the sound from the first generation of our original Blues Cube amps from the '90s, to the Blues Cube Artist, which reproduces the complex, interactive behavior of the tube amp down to the smallest detail, including the magical "it" factor that moves a guitar amp from a simple sound system to a living, breathing instrument. Amazing feel, distortion control with touch and volume, bloom, sparkle, power supply, "sag" and more. Everything guitarists love about a finely tuned vintage tube amp is found in abundance in the Blues Cube.
Stage-ready amplifier
for professional guitarists
The Blues Cube Artist is ready for the stage with its 80-watt, plus a custom 12'' speaker designed for maximum tonal response with Tube Logic. The cabinet's open-back construction features poplar plywood, providing an acoustic and vibrant tone for solo or band performance.
Clean, Crunch and Dual Tone
The Blues Cube Artist has two independent channels—one for clean tones and one for crunch. Each channel has its own Boost and Tone switches that give the sound its character. The Clean channel's simple volume control gives you a natural, rich tube sound and bite when you turn it up, while the Crunch channel's variable gain control provides a wide range of crunch from mild to aggressive. With the flip of a switch, the unique Dual Tone mode lets you mix both channels so you can truly create your own sound. And just like a vintage tube amp, the Blues Cube loves effects pedals so you can further personalize the sound by slamming your favorite gain pedal on your amp's front end.
Great sound at any volume
Any guitarist who plays a tube amp knows that you really have to crank up the volume and push the tubes to make the amp sing. The problem is that the sound simply gets too loud for anything but the biggest stages – although that has never stopped guitarists from trying! With Tube Logic, the Blues Cube naturally delivers the complex distortion characteristics of output tubes and their interaction with the output transformer, making the sound fuller and the feel more dynamically responsive as you turn it up. But with the Blues Cube’s variable Power Control, you can get the musical sound of an amp cranked up all the way while matching the volume to the given situation, from recording over the practice room to gigging.
Maintenance-free
and gentle on the back
The Blues Cube eliminates two of the major drawbacks of all tube amplifiers powerful enough for the live stage – they are extremely heavy, break from vibrations and require frequent tube replacements and other maintenance to keep them running. In contrast, the Blues Cube is virtually maintenance-free and has been carefully designed to reduce weight in all areas that do not compromise sound. With the Blues Cube, you get the great tube sound for every gig but with much easier setup and no actual tubes to worry about.
Effects, foot control
and Direct Recording via USB
The Blues Cube Artist has built-in reverb and tremolo plus an effects loop for connecting external effects. The rear panel has connections for a footswitch (optional) such as the GA-FC Foot Controller, which allows you to change channels, Dual tone mode and on/off of the built-in effects and effects loop. And via USB it's easy to record the Blues Cube Artist's rich sound directly into your computer with your favorite music software.
