ADAM Audio S5V
ADAM Audio's Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) bass drivers and Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA) technology were developed specifically for the S Series. The 12-inch bass driver on the S5V leverages these concepts, delivering unparalleled reproduction quality in terms of accuracy, dynamic range and freedom from coloration.
The 4-inch DCH MF driver with its unique hybrid dome/cone construction handles the midrange with extreme precision, while ADAM Audio's S-ART folded-ribbon tweeter, handmade in Berlin to the strictest tolerances, delivers breathtaking highs and ensures detailed and precise sound reproduction.
Advanced Spreading Technology
The off-axis response of the treble and midrange drivers remains extremely precise thanks to the newly developed Mid-range and High-frequency Propagation Systems (MPS and HPS), which consist of waveguide technology milled from solid aluminum. This stable and wide-spectrum dispersion ensures that multiple people can work in the speakers' sweet spot simultaneously - ideal for larger control rooms.
Advanced DSP
The custom DSP in the S-Series optimizes the speaker's crossover to create linear responses across the entire frequency range. It also provides customization, tuning, and adjustment for different rooms. The DSP also protects the high-frequency driver with limiter-based technology, processes AES3 digital signals, and enables future expansion options. Software updates and control of the DSP functions can be easily performed via a USB port that connects the speakers to a computer.
Effective Amplification
A 700W Class D amplifier powers the woofer, while additional Class D designs deliver 300W to the midrange driver and 100W to the S-ART tweeter, respectively.
