Description
The D3V is a fully active desktop monitoring system designed for songwriters, producers and music lovers who want to enjoy ADAM Audio's sound quality in the most convenient way possible. Available in white or black, it features the iconic golden ribbon tweeters that uphold ADAM Audio's German industrial design heritage.
Each active speaker pair features 3.5” aluminum woofers and a ferrite magnet system powered by 80W amplifiers. The woofers are complemented by dual-sided 3.5” passive radiators that allow the D3V to reach down to 45Hz.
With 25 years of experience in ribbon tweeter technology, ADAM Audio has developed a compact 1.5” D-ART (Desktop Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter) so that D3V users can enjoy the precise and effortless high-frequency reproduction that their established monitor systems are known for.
The D3V features a USB-C input, meaning the system acts as a digital output device when connected to a computer, eliminating the need for an additional audio interface for playback. The plug-and-play functionality also extends to mobile devices, allowing high-quality audio to be enjoyed without the compression or conversion that usually comes with such connections. In addition, the D3V features balanced ¼" TRS inputs for more traditional analog audio applications.
The back of the left speaker contains a series of user-friendly switches that address acoustic issues related to speaker placement, while the front panel has a headphone output and a volume control that also functions as a control for audio input selection, muting, and other functions.
The D3V comes with detachable monitor stands that are angled 15° towards the user's ears. In addition, there is a standard 3/8” threaded hole for mounting on microphone stands on the underside of both speakers.
